Power output quality of larger portable energy storage units?

A big PS lightly loaded will hold up longer because it has bigger capacitors however under heavier load that changes. Under 10ms is considered to be the target for a good UPS.

Anker Solix C800 Plus has a 20ms switching time, not quick enough for a PC.

Power output quality of larger portable energy storage units?

They dont have a fast enough switch over time to replace a UPS. However you can plug a USP into one for extended run time if the output is good enough not to trigger the UPS all the time. I know people who do it with ecoflow units combined with APC or Cyberpower true sine wave UPS..

Are there any recommended M.2 NVME/SATA docks? (Not Enclosures)

I have had good luck with Sabrent branded adapters/docks over the years. That one doesn't seem to say anywhere that it supports M.2 sata drives just M.2 NVME.

Battery float voltage for DC UPS?

You need to separate the battery and charging system from the buck/boost except when the power goes out. This can be done with a diodes(low power) or a mosfet(high power) for near instantaneous switch over. Use a capacitor to smooth out the transition and the output after the buck/boost circuit...

No sound on yamaha soundbar after power off tv

ts the tv not the soundbar. All the soundbar does is play what comes out on the cable. It does not know which app is supplying the sound. Contact support for the tv and they might have a firmware update

Do use a UPS or surge suppressor?

yes many of them are fan on full all the time vs fan only when on battery or at least reduced speed when not on battery. That said they will operate at higher room temperatures without throwing an error. In an industrial setting the Eaton will be running after the others error out.
