Yeah, so I just got Bryce 5. I know that it sucks but it makes a good point. Don't let our oil-fiend president scope out nature until all is gone.
Just a thought. Have a great one!
Well, has anyone seen a complete description of how this speed boost is going to occur? Is IBM going to extend the pipeline to push the clock speeds up? We all know that this argument will, in the end, go the way of the Intel/AMD argument. They are built using different thought processes (and...
On a side note, Br. Carlson's book also has an older version which has been tested in Visual Studio 5.0.
Also, my first programming book, which is better than most people make it out to be was "Problem Solving, Abstraction, and Design Using C++ (3rd Edition)" by Frank L. Friedman and Elliot...
If you are not going to be running it very hard, you should be fine. However, I had an overheat signal once while playing Warcraft II of all games. My dorm was rather warm, though, so that probably contributed to it. I have thought more than once of replacing the heatsink and fan just because...
There is also an online book done by a Benedictine monk who is the chair of the CS department at Saint Vincent College, a small Catholic College in Pennsylvania. It is an excellent source, done very thoroughly with all code tested in Visual Studio 6.0, .NET, and also in g++. It covers topics...
Yes; there is nothing in it about this sort of problem.
Also, there is no BSOD when I go to shut down (I turned off the auto-shutdown). The computer can only be shut down during the boot process by holding the power button.
However, the problem isn't necessarily related to my Windows install. If I try to power down before my computer begins to boot from my hard drive, it will shut off and then restart.
Strange.
I just upgraded my computer and have an interesting situation arising. When I attempt to shutdown (either if I manually do it with the power button or from Windows), my computer only restarts. If I hold down the button during the boot process, that is the only way that it will shutdown.
Here...
I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with a friends computer and am stumped.
She has an HP Pavilion 7850. Her problems began when one day her computer shut off while it was on. She hasn't been able to get it to work since.
I took a look at it today and checked all connections inside...
Hey all,
I'm learning some Motorola 6502 assembly. (Why? Just for exposure to having to work with it! :)) I was thinking of applying it to NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) programming. Since it has a cusomized 6502 in it, I thought it would be an interesting way to learn how to apply...
Wow, this is just so creative...
What a waste of time. I am yet to figure out why everyone is anti-Apple myself. They're not a bunch of major corporate bastards. That in itself should inspire love for them.
Then again, this is America, where the dream is to be a rich businessman by all...
Then, I am looking into CMX512-3200C2PT (Corsair XMS series 512 MB Unbuffered PC 3200 with platinum heat spreaders). This will work fine with Athlon 64? Sorry for the rudimentary nature of these questions. I had a friend who told me that even the non-FX processors required registered RAM and...
