I really like the modular PS's, but this item looks "de-activated" at the egg.

is it possible that GPU-Z only reports what is sees as hardware processing units and simply does not show the in-active units? In other words, it "sees" the 216 units, but only 192 are active.?

Awesome combo. I bought this about a month ago and everything worked great right out of the box and blazing fast. you will really like the stability of this Asus board.
I agree with Aon. Corsair HX series are great solid PSU's. If you're going to stick with a single card solution 1x8800, then you can go with the hx520. But, if you're going to sli, then I would stick with the HX620.

This is a great product if you want a good mix of value and quiet. I too cannot stand a noisy box and this works great for me. I rarely hear it unless it is under a large load in a game and then even rarely.
I purchased the pro version of this mobo when it first came out and burned out 2 pata drives. This board/jmicron controller combo hates that. I finally got a sata burner with a pata dvd and got the bugs worked out. Make sure your bios is set correctly. I don't have it in front of me now, but...
