They didn't have a release date when I ordered it either (Thursday) but they sent an e-mail later that day saying it would ship today (Monday). I upgraded to overnight shipping since I have prime anyway and it ended up shipping on Saturday.

I don't know if its the same thing, but I had a similar issue with my 2001fp and it turned out to be a checkbox in my ati drivers. Like reduce frequency in high resolution dvi displays or something
It wasn't my intention to imply that the 9800 pro is as fast or faster than the x800xt-pe, and I admit my wording could've been better. What I meant was games that ran smoothly on the 9800 run smoothly on the x800xt-pe with higher settings, while games that ran like crap on the 9800 still run...
Way to take my quote out of context. I don't recall stating it was the fault of the card. In fact, I'm rather certain I said the opposite. I never claimed that the XTPE was a bad card or worse than any other, simply that I don't think it was worth the extra money. I really can't name many games...
eh, I upgraded my 9800pro to an x800xt-pe in October (me and my roommate just went to bestbuy and bought two) and its nice I guess but its not the huge jump I expected. Games that ran well on the 9800 still run better, and the extra AA/AF is definitely nice, but many games still run poorly...
