got 2 603 xeons coming in... need heatsinks for em.... anyone ever rig a 939 to fit em? or do i really need to track down some 603 specific coolers? if so anyone got some suggestions on models and where to get em? (canadian prefered)
ebay... gotta love it :) tho for a bit more i saw some 1.7's with heatsinks after i'd already bought the 1.4's bah well.... hopefully they'll oc away any regrets i may have :)
tho oc'ing will be hard without fans..... anyone know a good place to buy 603 spec hsf's? i'll check our distributor at...
just nabbed 2 603's 1.4ghz xeon's and a mobo (the Asus PC-DL Deluxe) waiting for it to arrive.... pair of chips were like 45$ thats insane! anyways they're without heatsinks... wondering if its easy to rig 2 939 style hsf's up to cool or should i find some 603 specific ones? what would you guys...
not BRAND new... but not old
only been folding for just over a month now (started the week leading upto xmas... doing alright i must say), wanted to share my home garden thats keeping my apartment toasty this winter!
from left to right, Athlon XP1700+, K6-2-550,Celeron 600, P3-500...
i got 3 older Pentium Gen PC's missing nic's and vid cards... maybe hard drives....
ones a Cyrix PR150(120mhz) ones i think a P133 and not sure what the 3rd is... they're all AT and have AT psu's.... if anyone wants them they're free :) as is... last i saw they worked... prolly decent for non...
canadian prices.... if i order from the states i get nailed with massive border fee's etc.... done it in the past...not worth it.. and yeah the motherboard was a decent Asus board for like 80$cdn and then 62$cdn for the chip....
thnx for the info... exactly what i needed to know...
local computer shops have some good deals on.... its 130$ for a Celeron 2.93ghz w/mobo or 142$ for a Sempron64 2500+(1.4ghz but will oc to 1.72ghz easy) and mobo....
i know clock cycles are key for good folding but also that the amd64's fold better then the intels.... what would you guys buy...
