Correct, the PC is manually turned on / off upon entering / exiting the vehicle. I don't really even consider it a hassle. Press one button, wait a minute... then upon exit, click Start, Shut Down and you are done :)
Like I said, it's not the most desirable ride but it fits my needs and I paid cash. You couldn't pay me to take out a car loan on a new vehicle. People buy things they don't need with money they don't have to impress people they don't like - not me.

well, i found a workaround!
got to thinking... if i complete just the first part of windows install in another notebook, then when the PC reboots to complete installation, I shut it down and put the SSD in the netbook, maybe that would work... and it did!
I have no tried that yet, but I will shortly. I have seen multiple others online running 7 with the same system, however. I'll reply back in a bit once I test it.
