Every GPU I owned since 2007 (Fun Topic)

So I recently got a new card 7800XT & I was going though previous orders & to my surprise, they retained my records since account creation. Other sites have purged it. Still can't get over the fact I was able to buy X1950 Pro for less than 100 GBP (149 inflation adjusted). In 2007 land, 7800XT...

Do PSUs still use liquid capacitors?

So I've been out of the PSU arena for a while. Has there been any improvements? Have PSUs finally moved to totally solid state design? As in no more liquid capacitors

Weird 2070 Super issue (Caused by Possible Microsoft Game Input Service Conflict)

I recommend uninstalling the old version completely. Go to add/remove programs, look for Gameinput Service and uninstal it. Recommend following this. There's a TY guide as well. https://www.reddit.com/r/WindowsHelp/comments/18bb6e0/gameinput_service_stops_working_after_windows_11/

Weird 2070 Super issue (Caused by Possible Microsoft Game Input Service Conflict)

UPDATE: So the cause may not have been the GPU, but rather by Microsoft Game Input Service Conflict. See attachment. I JUST uninstalled the older version. Unfortunately the 2070 Super is no longer in my PC so can't confirm this. But at least the errors in event viewer have stopped. Keep an eye...

Replaced the card and in my sleep deprived state, I booted it without connecting the PCI cables Could I have damaged the card? I know modern cards are fool proof, but still....

Weird 2070 Super issue (Caused by Possible Microsoft Game Input Service Conflict)

Identical. Around 75-78C. Dried thermal paste did cross my mind, but that would heat up the GPU & throttle its performance OCCT tests were an hour each. So were valley & heaven. But ran Superposition for several hours Also, the older game I was referring to came out 10 years. Hardly tax the...

Weird 2070 Super issue (Caused by Possible Microsoft Game Input Service Conflict)

So I've been using the 2070 Super (MSI Ventus) for nearly 4 years & it worked fine till few months ago. While playing older & newer titles, system freezes at random & the GPU fans ramps up. Upon checking Event Viewer, I always see Nvidia or video related causes. After running through the usual...

AMD Radeon Noob Questions (esp Firefox + YouTube)

I can't pin point the cause & inc extreme stutter. Happens on FF forks as well. I didn't change anything before the upgrade. Yeah I did and opted for minimal. But wondering if I'm missing out or are there any performance/stability difference between all three.

AMD Radeon Noob Questions (esp Firefox + YouTube)

PC nerd by nature, but I haven't used an AMD GPU in over 10 years. Haven't had an all AMD PC for nearly 20 years. Things have drastically changed and I have questions. Since upgrading to 7800XT, first thing I noticed was when I go to YouTube via Firefox, it doesn't display the page correctly...

Is this normal? (Sapphire Radeon RX 7800 XT Nitro)

Hi Got my 7800 XT Nitro today & noticed something off about the fins. They seem rough, one fin was slightly crooked (corrected it manually). Is this normal? Card is brand new sealed. No damage to the box.

PC not shutting down correctly or restarting correctly. Fans and lights staying on with black screen.

Merry Christmas. It has been two years since my last post and I've finally found the solution as to why my system wasn't shutting down or restarting correctly. To anyone experiencing the same issue, hopefully this will save some headache, time, stress and money. In Dec 2018, I upgraded my...

Black screen upon reboot (occasional and random)

Day 20 since last update. Everything seems stable and working as intended. Haven't changed anything since my last post. So the issues must have been CSM or bad Windows. Least I know its not the hardware. Thanks for all the help. Appreciate it.

Black screen upon reboot (occasional and random)

So it has been three days and thought I post an update. It may help someone out. I've painstakingly ruled out all internal hardware, internal and external connectors and external hardware. I have even ruled out the BIOS as I've tried 4 different versions with the same issue. All that was left...

Black screen upon reboot (occasional and random)

For a second there, I thought the problem was the Crucial SSD. Was happy that I saw no black screen after all that restarts so I decided to reinstall windows and do clean set up. Just as I was finishing everything, i restarted the system and it went straight to BIOS. Under boot, I didn't see...
