    RX7600

Just purchased a Gigabyte RX7600 OC 8G for a PC that was only using the Ryzen 5600G as a GPU. Why this card? It was inexpensive, the RDNA 3 architecture, low power consumption, and good enough performance for most gaming. I use Linux most of the time so AMD was preferable to Nvidia. I...

6950 XT vs 7900XT - What to Choose for Upgrade?

Get the 7900XT. I own the 6900XT so one step behind the 6950XT. I wish I had an RDNA3 board. The only exception that I can think of would be if you want to do GPU Passthrough (VFIO) -- the newer RDNA3 seems to have issues with that.

    Intel ARC A750 & A770 Reviews

Well, my Nvidia Geforce 1080TI is 6 yrs old and I'm still using it on a Windows PC -- Linux is my primary where I use an AMD Radeon 6900XT. It's not clear to me that the Arc A770 is better than the 1080TI.

    Mesh routers

If you're using a wireless router, you're already doing it wrong. The defining characteristic of a mesh WiFi system is a wireless backhaul. A wireless backhaul has the same disadvantages of WiFi so effectively multiplies these problems with the advantage of not having to have a wired backbone...

Matrox Video Announces Intel Arc-based LUMA Graphics Cards

I don't think Matrox is really a "video technology innovator". The last I heard of this company was the "Mystique" & the Millenium.

Millennials Spend More Time Playing Video Games Than Gen Z and Teens, New Study Finds

Apparently Gen X is dead to them since we don't even get a mention.

GPU prices — is the worst behind us ?

I just replaced mine with a Radeon 6900XT. The only gaming I do is 2560x1440 and I mainly use Linux so seemed like a good fit.

Anybody plan on grabbing one of the new RX7xxx Navi cards on launch?

I'm kind of surprised that the 6900XT hasn't dropped a lot more. Lowest new price I see is $654 on Newegg. 6950XT's are at $830.

Join us on November 3rd as we unveil AMD RDNA™ 3 to the world!

I'm disappointed that they aren't available immediately and also disappointed that they didn't give any pricing/availability on the RX7600,RX7700, and RX7800XT cards or did I miss it?

Anybody plan on grabbing one of the new RX7xxx Navi cards on launch?

The 6800xt is the first card that would be an upgrade to the 1080TI (the card that I owned and posted about). I'm not sure what you're even getting at here with 6800xt <> 6900xt. The next generation of RDNA3 cards are going to be faster than the 6900XT too or what would the point be? I have...

Anybody plan on grabbing one of the new RX7xxx Navi cards on launch?

Well, when you're multiple generations behind and know that even a 6800XT (previous generation AMD) would be an upgrade -- it's not really speculating much to anticipate that the next generation will have something better than the existing generation of cards.

Anybody plan on grabbing one of the new RX7xxx Navi cards on launch?

I still have a 1080TI card and am thinking that the new RDNA3 release will finally be the time to update. I'm running Linux so don't want to roll with Nvidia this time around. Hard to know what the real performance and prices will be before launch but I suspect that they should all exceed my...

    HTPC - no more?

The HTPC might make a comeback. Devices like the Nvidia shield are starting to put ads on their home page which aggravates people. PC's in a 4x4 form factor are becoming more common. I can pick up an Asrock Ryzen 3 4300U x4 box with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD drive, and have a box with more...

Does Windows copy files in any particular order?

No matter how it does it, you can be sure that it will be slow if done through Explorer. It always amazes me how Microsoft can screw up such a simple function. It's fine if you're only doing a couple of files but deteriorates quickly when doing any significant number...
