Which RTX 4090 card are you planning or consider to get?

The only possibility of this happening I can see is a $3000 Titan, possibly with 48GB of memory. There's absolutely zero reason to release anything else any time soon.

Plot twist, it's cooler cause it's winter.

HOF was head and shoulders above KPE on 3090's.

Don't forget them selling DDR5 mobos bundled with DDR4 now.

Not fully inserting the connector. It's possible to not fully plug in every connector on a PC, why would this one be different?

If it's all people plugging it in wrong, people with native power supplies can also plug it in wrong. People who are worried and making extra sure they're plugging it in right are the same people that will have bought 3rd party cables by now, which would explain why no 3rd party cables have been...

It's possible that's all it is all around. The different wire in and of itself definitely doesn't matter. The only thing it ever could have meant is a sign the adapters were made on 2 supply lines, and maybe one of them was doing something else wrong. 150V wire can definitely carry 12V fine.

I checked, I'm not using the adapter anyway so I didn't really care, but it's 300V. I didn't rip it apart enough to see the solder pattern. Seems irrelevant cause there are reports of cooked 300V ones on Reddit now anyway.

Which RTX 4090 card are you planning or consider to get?

Indeed. Especially the Corsair cable. It's literally being sold by a PSU company for their PSU. Are they going to tell people that use a new PSU that comes with a 12VHPWR natively they can't use that? Lol...

Even if they really mean that, there's zero way they could prove what cable you used.

The Gigabyte cards come with a bracket thing that bolts to mobo standoffs in your case. It's a neat idea but doesn't really work with an EATX board. I resorted to one of the ones that slides up and down a rod (giggity) and tightens down with a bolt. I think I like that threaded screw style better.

Plenty of 6/8pin PCIE connectors have also cooked over the years. The adapters might be more prone to meltage, but it's not like no 6/8pins ever melted and every 12VHPWR adapter will melt. Both are rare, one might just be an order of magnitude more rare. None of that changes that the adapter...

Which RTX 4090 card are you planning or consider to get?

To my knowledge every adapter that shipped with every 4090 is Nvidia branded, Nvidia mandated that. So the design Igor found applies to all of them. It's POSSIBLE the 3-connector adapters are properly designed and don't share the problem, because there's no need to bridge connections when you...
