    I would give it a shot. Worst case you return it within 30 days. Best case you got a solid mono for cheap.

    I am just happy AMD finally with LGA for the CPU. While neither socket type is perfect I feel that its easier to care for those LGA CPUs. The Mottherboards are a different story lol.

    I would love using a 3900X as a basic home server CPU. I'm actually planning on upgrading my desktop and server to that CPU.
