The 32 inch 4k IPS 144hz's...(Update - this party is started) (wait for it...)

Thanks for the link SoCali! That is concerning, especially as all the TV tested had their panel saving features enabled. I guess time will tell if the 3rd gen QD-OLED show any improvement in longevity.

    MSI QD-OLED Monitors 2024

Is anyone using these OLED's for productivity work? I know in the Reddit forums so many people say they are for gaming only, and to stay away as if you do any sort of work with static UI elements you will get burn in, but checking the accounts of the users saying this it appears that almost none...

4K 27" Mini-LED with good local dimming and 144+ Hz refresh rate?

I'm not sure what the heck is going on with the TCL monitor, but two customer service reps have now told me they that the webpages for the new HVA monitors are in error and they have no plans of releasing any PC peripherals. I've even sent emails to their main support asking for clarification...

4K 27" Mini-LED with good local dimming and 144+ Hz refresh rate?

This one sounds promising too. The Hisense 27G7K-PRO. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Hisense-27G7K-PRO-4K-160-Hz-gaming-monitor-debuts-with-1-152-dimming-zones.828730.0.html

4K 27" Mini-LED with good local dimming and 144+ Hz refresh rate?

Nope. Even TCL seems to have no idea when it is going to be released in North America. Apparently French retailers have the 34" display listed for sale for 1100 Euros.

4K 27" Mini-LED with good local dimming and 144+ Hz refresh rate?

Another review of the Chinese branded Thunderbird 雷鸟U8 using the same panel. Their conclusion? The best 4k monitor currently on market. I'm relieved to see that the HVA panel seems to have addressed the smearing typically associated with VA panels. Excited about this one, I just wish there was...

Asus Tuf 4090 - Artifacts in Control with MSAA enabled

I tried installing the Epic Store version I owned as well, and it has the same issues. Strangely, if you run the game in DX11, the artifacts show as white boxes. Same thing, runs fine with MSAA or DLSS off, but glitches with these features enabled. As everything else seems to be running great...

Asus Tuf 4090 - Artifacts in Control with MSAA enabled

As mentioned in my OP, it is the GamePass version.

Asus Tuf 4090 - Artifacts in Control with MSAA enabled

I I just read through the Steam forums, and it seams that others are having visual glitches with MSAA or DLSS enabled when running DX12. The Gamepass option doesn't give an option which render to use, but maybe it defaults to DX12? Anyways, I'm not going to worry too much as it seems like...

    4090 Power Delivery Questions

Corsair cable worked like a charm and everything seems to be working great. Just need to print off a support brace for the card as the included one was too tall for my chasis.

Asus Tuf 4090 - Artifacts in Control with MSAA enabled

Hey guys! Finally got my 4090 installed and wow, what an upgrade from my old 3070!! Anyways, everything seems stable and runs great except for one game I've tried - Control. It doesn't matter if I have raytracing enabled or disabled, or have high or low settings, as soon as I enable DLSS or...

4K 27" Mini-LED with good local dimming and 144+ Hz refresh rate?

Hopefully we see some benchmarks soon from the TCL unit. My interest is certainly piqued.

4K 27" Mini-LED with good local dimming and 144+ Hz refresh rate?

The 2182 maximum nits It was on one of the Chinese review sites that tested the maximum peak brightness at different window sizes. I'll see if I can find the page again, but it had a chart going from 100% to 50% window size I believe. When searching for reviews, google this: 雷鸟U8 评论 and it...

4K 27" Mini-LED with good local dimming and 144+ Hz refresh rate?

Found out on Reddit the Chinese version of the TCL 27" has been released and reviews are up. It is called the 雷鸟U8 and has the same bezel stand / and panel as the TCL 27" 4k unit. Reviews seem great! Black blacks. Little to no haloing with the HVA panel using local dimming. Vibrant color and...
