Would be nice to know when the NDA will be lifted. I built a brand new computer a month ago and the only thing it's missing is the SSD for the OS. I'd like to know if I'll be waiting a week or a month for this drive to come out.
Yup, for Sandy Bridge processors, 124 is vcore related. Doesn't matter if your clocks are stock or not, if it's not getting enough voltage you'll get BSOD's. Some chips require more voltage than others.
Here's my Sugo SG05 with a 5770. Perfect fit. :) I used to have an 8800GT in there so it's a pretty good upgrade. At the time, the 5770 was the highest performing card I can fit in there that the 350W psu can handle without any mods to the chassis...
Just finished building a pfSense box too. Needed something to replace an old WRT54GL and it works really well. Just need to add a wireless access point and I'm all set. Total cost was ~$300 CAN.

Why didn't I think of that... my desktop has a 5850 that I can test with. I had to lug the 50 pound system up a floor to where my TV is. I connected through HDMI only and I got 5.1 surround! My receiver says "Multi Ch In" instead of Stereo while playing games. I guess I'll be looking into...
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, the amp does have HDMI inputs but my video card only has DVI out (8800GT). I will give it a try if I can get my hands on a capable card from somebody. I just don't want to buy one and then find out it still only does stereo for games.
Well it looks like I ran into my first major CON for this board. I hooked up the HTPC to my Denon 590 receiver via optical and realized I cannot get 5.1 surround when gaming. I can play back DVD's in DD and DTS no problem though.
Reason being is that the optical out only supports 2.0...
There are only 2 air coolers I know of that will fit with a video card installed. The AXP-140 and Prolimatech Samuel 17 Low Profile. Any others will block the PCI-e slot from being used. The H50 will work. The H70 and ECO-R20 will probably work but the backplate will be the tricky part. If you...
Yup, it was a known issue since the first pre-release pictures of this board came out. For my build, I went with washers instead of the included backplate for my Thermalright cooler.
lol, I could add a few more SSD's near the front but I've already spent too much money on this system as it is. My initial budget was like $400 but I think I've spent 700 - 800 already haha.
