When I sent in a console with the original faceplate, they sent it back without it. (Despite the fact that no-one told me to remove it.)

I have a console sent to them a few months ago, the turnaround for that was 4 weeks. Out of curiosity, did you remove your faceplate when you sent it to them?

I'm in the UK, 4 defective consoles. The cause of the RRoD is widely considered to be a flaw in the design of the X-clamp. It certainly has nothing to do with region.
