Despite Amazon's assurance, the codes never did show up automatically.
Since I'm past my promised code date, I contacted them again and this time they sent the codes.
My guess is when I contacted them before, I got someone who wasn't allowed to send the codes until waiting for 10 business...
I emailed Amazon Friday and they said:
It's odd to me that some people got their codes right away, and some got them as soon as they contacted Amazon.
I guess I'll wait a couple more days and see what happens.
Good thought, but it was my first video card purchase from Amazon in quite a while.
I may have purchased some cards for work over the last couple years, but none came with bundles.
I bought my last video card for home, a GTX 680, from NewEgg at launch. It took them days to finally ship it...
Hi all,
I overnighted a 780ti on release day from Amazon (using the [H]ardOCP sponsored link).
I was all excited to play Batman, but I still haven't received a coupon for the free games from Amazon yet.
I'm a little worried Amazon is confused since the 780ti page doesn't clearly list...
I agree. I bought the EVGA stock-clock version because that's what Amazon had in stock.
It seems pretty happy with a 20% overclock:
105% power
85 degrees celcius
+200 GPU
+100 memory
With v-sync on, it reliably runs over 1200 MHz. With v-sync off, it'll start to slow down a little...
Apple has a over a 30% margin and $30 billion in cash.
To say they couldn't hire Americans and pay a living wage is ridiculous.
And to say American workers are "entitled" because they want a living wage is also ridiculous. American productivity has risen enormously in the last 30 years...
I'm probably setting myself up here, but my man cave has a treadmill on one end and a couch / projector on the other end.
My desk is in the middle and has a nice computer that powers all three spots.
Sports games with a wireless gamepad are great while on the treadmill. They turn a chore into...
NBA 2k12 is one of my favorite PC games. Great graphics, and intelligent franchise play.
I play it several hours a week while running on the treadmill.
I used to wait in line at midnight every year to buy Madden for PC. I loved it.
Peter Moore of EA Sports, after securing exclusive rights to make NFL football games, stopped releasing Madden for the PC.
Peter Moore has since been promoted to COO, and the rest of the EA Sports titles, save...
No. It's never been real clear to me what I'm paying for with that option. I mean, does it get to the truck 5 minutes earlier, or 2 days earlier?
My guess would be that fulfillment is never more than a few hours behind incoming orders, so it wouldn't normally matter unless you order right...
But I really shouldn't have to. If they take my order and money, I expect them to ship my card. That's sort of the deal.
If there's a problem, I would expect them to reach out to me.
My guess is they over-sold the hardware and I got shafted.
NewEgg is not the NewEgg I used to love.
NewEgg is sucking.
I ordered a GTX 680 in the first five minutes (before EVGA was even available).
A day and a half later, the order is still stuck at 'Order Verification'.
I wrote them this afternoon and haven't heard back.
The money is charged against my card, so it's not a payment issue...
The exchange couldn't have been easier. I had been wrestling with the board a lot (4 bios revisions, two sets of good RAM, etc.) so I think it was pretty clear from my explanation that the board was bad.
Also to Microcenter's credit, I bought launch day and asked on a whim if they'd give me...
Mine won't wake up if I enable PLL Overvoltage. But S3 works well at 44x with PLL overvoltage disabled.
Also, if I don't use the CPU multiplier in UEFI that allows setting in the OS, the overclock setting is reset after a Boot > S3 > Resume > Shutdown > Boot. This is with BIOS 1253.
