    Honestly I still have the same motherboard as I did when I started this thread, and the issue hasn’t happened to me in well over a year. I didn’t even update my BIOS until much later than most folks did - it just stopped happening for me and we also stopped seeing nearly as much chatter on this...

    OP checking back in after the thread was reawakened recently - very glad to report that I haven’t seen this issue in well over a year now. Whatever was causing this in my case simply seems to have stopped - and it wasn’t via BIOS update. I never updated my BIOS until I moved up to a 5900X before...
