Are you sure the video card is capable of the native resolution? To me it looks like pixel interpolation, due to a lower resolution being output to the monitor and then the monitor provides image scaling.
Been trying out some extreme settings with low custom RGB and Contrast. Unfortunately gamma seems rather sensitive to modifications of those settings. I don't have a tool to analyze gamma, I have been using http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/gamma_calibration.php sitting about five feet away from...
Ordered the S2240M from Amazon.com (November 5th) in the United States. Received a Rev. A00 that has PWM.
Observed the following at various brightness ranges (quickly waving a horizontal oriented object up and down near an all white screen):
100 - Motion blur is smooth
95-99 - Barely able...
It is the the pattern of the background on that page. Go to the Lagom LCD test site, (Inversion page) http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/inversion.php, for a more dramatic effect. Number 5, 6a and 6b are similar with a horizontal line pattern.
Hmm, well that is a bit disappointing. The difference between 100 brightness and any increment below it is strikingly obvious now, while displaying a full white screen. Quickly waving a black felt pen in front of the screen at 100 brightness the movement is completely smooth, as waving it in...
IPS glow of the S2240M. White line near center, was for my mediocre point and shoot camera to be able to auto-focus. This is at 15 Brightness 75 Contrast, in a darkened room. So it is slightly exaggerated from normal usage.
With the same image, I attempted to use TFT Centrals PWM method...
This thread is really dominated by the discussion of PWM and the S2440L. My post was somewhat overshadowed by that subject.
When viewing the S2240M through my Galaxy Nexus, I see inconsistent results. 100 and zero brightness settings have been the most consistent, with no noticeable flicker...
I have S2240M, purchased from Amazon. I have been using a 4:3 HP LP2065 IPS monitor for long time now. For every Dell wide-screen that I tried over the years, I have been able perceive uniformity issues. The viewing angle tests at Lagom LCD Test website are the best example for seeing this at...
