    Official NVIDIA Ampere In-Stock Thread

You're whining and you're just mad because you're on the outside looking in. Get some more self awareness and learn how marketing works. You are just an end user consumer. You have to be worth a lot more money to Nvidia for them to care. JayZ and Linus are tabloidal celebrities of the gaming...

    Big Navi is coming

?????? The only assumption that I made is that there are 64 shaders per CU (Compute Unit), which is consistent with all the AMD GPUs that I've seen here beginning with RX 400 series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_graphics_processing_units#Radeon_R5/R7/R9_300_series Here's the...

    Big Navi is coming

    If 80 CUs, then that's 5120 shaders, and lets say 2200 MHz. That would result in... 2 * 5120 * 2200 * 10^(-3) = 22528.0 GFLOPs (Single Precision). That's about 10% less than RTX 3080's single precision GFLOPs (25067.5).

i7-7800x Delidding Catastrophe? Resoldering micro resistors?

Yep. This is exactly what I'm encountering. It's annoying.

Drivers and settings for Realtek RTL8812AU wifi adapter?

Figured I'd go over this. I looked again. Interestingly enough, I came across this: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=RTL8811AU I wonder if this implies that we can use this to find the latest windows drivers for other various devices.

    Dell M.2 NVMe PCIe adapters

I got the RAID0 working with the software application. I ran the tests and was underwhelmed by the performance advantages. I returned everything to amazon. The literature and documentation about VROC is ridiculously inconclusive. There were things that I was able to do that the documentation...

i7-7800x Delidding Catastrophe? Resoldering micro resistors?

I received an email indicating that the Heatkiller SW-X 80 DIY Nickel was back in stock with a US based seller. So I ordered it, along with some other compression fittings. So I plan on tearing down my loop within the next week or two, and installing the thing as a MOSFET cooler.

i7-7800x Delidding Catastrophe? Resoldering micro resistors?

It's been years since I've bought plastigauges! Very clever idea. I ordered 1.0g of Phobya liquid metal last summer. I wasn't ready to use it at the time, and I later thought it was lost during a move. So I went to order it again, and only the 0.5g tube was available, so I ordered that. --...

i7-7800x Delidding Catastrophe? Resoldering micro resistors?

I am not lapping the CPU die. I draw the line at that. I will admit that the thermal paste that I am using is not the best (arctic silver, etc). But with the same setup, my i7-5820k @ 4.4GHz with 1.35v, would not exceed 65c.

i7-7800x Delidding Catastrophe? Resoldering micro resistors?

I'm not about to try lapping my CPU die. That's crazy talk. My CPU waterblock is very smooth and flat. I wetsanded it with fresh 5000 grit.

i7-7800x Delidding Catastrophe? Resoldering micro resistors?

CPU appears to work 'fine'. -- Or at least, how it worked before I delidded. I have thoroughly cleaned my cooling system. I have tore down my CPU and GPU waterblocks, and I cleaned the microfins. I replaced several o-rings, and spent a considerable amount of time cleaning my cooling system. I...
