Intel is planning on releasing new Club's in response to Ryzen. Current roadmap show that they will be released between June and August.
They range in spec, from 4 to 16 cores. The later is 165w.
I'm assuming it will be a different chipset and not be compatible with the z270i so I need a new...
Try swap your fan on the c7 for a Noctua a9x14 or ty100.
Best cooler seems to be the Cooltek LP53 but difficult to get your hands on it. I've emailed them and they have said they are currently doing a production run that should be wrapping up this month so should be more units hitting the market...
For clarification see the screenshots below. The first one is the new chip capable of running at 5.0 stable.
The second image is the old chip that was suppose to be able to run at 4.9 stable but there was an issue with the second core (17degree difference in temperature between it and core 1.)...
I paid for the 4.9ghz. It made sense as the delid tool isn't in stock and costs £25 anyway. Plus I would have a warranty if anything happened as opposed to throwing away £350 if I messed up the delidding process. I was upgraded to the 5.0ghz for free as they didn't have any more 4.9 in stock
So just got a 5.0ghz pre-binned 7700k from overclockers.co.uk. They achieved it with an AIO cookers at 1.35V. Will be interesting to how the Noctua NH-L9i handles it. Stay tuned :D
GTX 1080 Ti Compatibility
I've started compiling a list of the main GTX 1080 Ti cards from the main manufacturers, not including FE versions. I wanted to get the Aorus myself but it is too thick.
Please feel free to copy and paste this message to include other cards that are available or a...
Just spoke to overclockers UK. The gtx 1080TI (non FE) won'the be available until April. They weren't able to specify beginning or end of April either.....
I'm not sure how much longer I can wait :/ my laptop is going to give out any day now....
On a separate note, The sf450 psu seemed to be the minimum choice with the 1080, which draws 180w.
The 1080ti is 250w, does that eliminate the sf450 from the equation?
Other components are Standard 7700k...
Really want to do my build next week but still haven't heard anything about AMD mini itx boards from any of the big names. (Only Biostar have announced so far).
Anyone have any ideas on when to expect some announcements or should i just stick with getting an 7700k and STRIX board?
Thanks guys, I'll make sure to pass on your comments. The conversation is really just to see what they can do to help, if anything. Just came out some emails that were being sent back and forward.
Hey guys, a quick note regarding the AXP-100 Full copper from Thermalright.
It seems like I will be having a Skype conversation with them in the next few days hopefully.
Before doing so, I wanted to get any feedback from the community that might be worth passing on. Those who have modded their...
