Hello all,
We just migrated from lprng to cups here at work, and while most things are going well, we've had reports from users that when they send plain text through CUPS the margins are very, very small, so that the text ends up being written to an unprintable region of the page. Thus, their output is unreadable - the top line and a half are missing, and two characters are missing from the left and right sides of the page. On printers which can get that close to the edge of the paper (it's very, very close - perhaps 2mm?) you do get the whole text, which leads me to believe it's a problem with texttops and not the printers in question. I have the correct PPDs for each printer installed.

I've tried setting margins, and although they're obeyed, text wraps at less than 80 columns when I do so (77 when I select "Letter (Small)"). Can texttops be configured to use a different font size? Why doesn't pstops scale the output so it fits on a page? Any ideas welcome, I'm confused.
