Xbox Series X - monitor question.

Considering the series x will apparently be limited to 120 fps, that monitor having 165Hz at 2k may not be the best option. Some games on the series x will be 120 fps at 4k, so you may want to target those numbers instead.

So 1440P 165mhz will not work with Series X?

The series x will only go to 120 fps according to what I can find, so while it'll work at 1400, it will max out at 120 fps, unless there is other info out there stating it'll go higher that I haven't seen.

But if i plug 1440P 165mhz it will work without issues? Not the worst choice of buying that monitor? I like AORUS monitors

It'll work, but only at 120fps, not 165, unless the series x can go that high at lower resolutions.

Ok. Monitor have 2 HDMI 2.0 outputs. HDMI 2.0 will work with 144hz?

HDMI 2.0 is also fairly standard and can be used for 240Hz at 1080p, 144Hz at 1440p, and 60Hz at 4K.

I have a Samsung C32HG7x and confirmed able to play COD Cold War at 1440p, 120mz and monitor set to 120FPS. THere are a few videos on youtube that talk to the need for HDMI 2.1 in order to get the 4K at 120FPS, but it all depends on the game and monitor. FYI, I have to turn off Freesync though to get it to work at that rate.
