What is better ASIC or GPU miner ?

Hello guys,
what is better today to do a crypto mining ?
I am looking for ASIC 44 TH/s vs 4 or 6 GPUS in one device to about 2000W consuption.
 
GPUs are more versitile and have better resale value; ASICs are specialized and have better efficiency although there is always another generation coming out. All depends on what you are planning on mining. Don't try GPU mining a coin that has ASICs though...
 
Actually I just want to invest in my old PC hardware to profit a little for new one. But question is ... it is possible today to have a profit from GPU mining ?

Actually. In the last couple weeks profits have temporarily gone up. I don’t expect them to stay up, so don’t buy GPU hardware on that temporary boost, but if you have hardware, or can get it cheap used, it’s worth turning it on again right now.

Google nicehash profitability calculator for an idea on profits. Remember 3 weeks ago it was not really profitable to mine. Electricity cost as much or more than you could make mining. This is little bump in profits making it profitable again is likely temporary. It’s mostly based on a prospective jump in ETH prices based on DeFi which is explained here:
