Make & model would be useful here but looks like an older 6 series (2nd or 3rd generation "core" series)
Did you try getting the drivers from the manufactures site as some laptops use customized drivers so the standard ones might work but not with 100% full functionally.

last time i ran into that on a dell is was part of the card reader or bio scanner, cant remember which. it doesnt have its own hardware id as its part of another device. BUT what he said^^, we need more info and you need to learn how to do this shit...
