OK so its finally time to retire my 7950 DD edition. they have served me very well and am still happy with there performance in todays game but its time to upgrade. My budget is $400 + whatever I can sell my 7950's for. what would you all suggest im not a fan boy when it comes to video cards NVidia or ati is fine. I would like to still have 2 cards as I love the look of it through my windowed case.
My psu is a 1050 watt corsair psu so I should be able to use almost any video cards.
My mother board is and lga 2011 with sli and crossfire support.
I am using a 4930k for a cpu
and have 32gb of ram.
I play all my games a 1920x1200 but also like to play movies through hdmi on my 55in lg 1080p tv. I do have a 3rd display dell 24in ips monitor that I use for web pages and chat windows so will need something that can run all 3 of my displays

Two used r9 290s would also be my recommendation. You can easily find them under $300 each right now and sometimes much lower. Just note that the reference coolers are quite loud. You can still get get decent value for the 7950s but the prices shot down a bit based on people unloading 290s/280xs/7970s

I went from crossfired 7950 to crossfired 290. Unless you're running games in a 1440p+ monitor, you don't really need to shell out cash for the upgrade. My recommendation is to skip a generation.

Since you have such a boss system go buy a 1600p or 4k monitor and go r9 290 crossfire!

Assuming Crossfire works for the games that you're interested in, two 7950s is still plenty of power for 1920x1200. I use two 7970s for 1440p and haven't had any issues, even with intensive games like Metro: Last Light.

I don't need to upgrade I know this just have the upgrade bug and figure I might as well do it now while I can still get a decent buck for my 7950's. I will be upgrading my monitors as soon as we replace our work displays getting 3x30in Dell U3014 monitors to run in eyefinity but this wont be for about another 6months.
