These files are created in Linux and can be deleted in Linux but not in Windows. They are a major PITA when managing backups. Does anyone know how to delete them in Windows?

TIA

force delete in the command line. also a program called unlocker is sometimes needed.

If you want to do it regularly create a batch file.

These are files, not folders. I'll give unlocker a go but I think the problem might the use of : in the file name. In Windows you can do nothing with it.

NOTE - Went to download unlocker from Majorgeeks and FF said it contained a virus. Downloaded it from Filehippo without a problem.

Just modify the parameters for use for files.. It's all in the page. Yeah, unlocker is great.
