This is where it sits right now. Have to make an acrylic window for it and am also considering watercooling the 290x and 3770k. (7970 was for mockup)

I'm trying really hard to fit two 240mm rads in this case. Will probably need additional case modding or to move the fans on the top radiator outside of the case, which I really didn't want to do.

Are the HHDs on the bottom or mounted to the back of the tray. Its hard to tell
 
Hi guys, long time lurker of the [H] forum since '08 and finally decided to register and post. My build is a Lian Li PC-TU100B with:

Intel Core i5 3470 @3.2Ghz
Scythe Kozuti Cooler
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1866Mhz RAM
EVGA Geforce GTX 650TI
2x500GB WD Blue 2.5" HDD
FSP 300W PSU

I love the little Trapper Keeper, but that CPU cooler is utter crap IMO. It was the biggest headache to install because the box came with no instructions and the bolts were too large for the CPU holes. After installation, the fins covered a portion of the DIMM slot so one stick is touching the cooler and my GPU has ~1mm clearance from the copper pipes. I don't like the cooler at all, so I ordered a Noctua NH-L9i today and will replace it later. Other than that, it runs relatively cool (estimate ~60-65°C) for the amount of space in that little thing.

I put a H100i in my 250D as well. Tight with the tubing, and near the ATX power cord, but it works very well. I love how well the GPU cools, smashed up against the grill. Makes for a very quiet little system.
 
I had to get a little creative with the mounting of the fan/radiator, but it's working great. So quiet and cool.

Are there some misalignment issues with the case? The GPU brackets in the back shot seems to be forced in place.

Actually the DVI connector is a bit cockeyed(HDMI also to a lesser degree) on the GPU which throws the brackets off a bit. You'd have to file the opening to straighten the GPU bracket I think.

Looks like the GPU cut-outs should be moved up altogether, as well as the fastening.
Have you discussed this with Lone?
 
I think this is a Galaxy issue really, they're pretty far off. I took the bracket off another card where the connectors were positioned correctly I almost returned this card when I really saw how crooked they were. May get a Gigabyte version and sell this one, hopefully Gigabyte QC is a lot better.

Thanks, I'd have to go by memory on cost for most of this as it was originally in a Fractal Node 304 from 2 years ago, roughly $1700 tax+shipped prices I think. I don't really game so can't comment on the graphics performance for that. There's some engineering software I run occasionally that seems to work better not using the iGPU, kind of like trying to run Prime95 & Kombustor using the HD4000 iGPU very stuttered performance, shared memory likely the cause.

However, if there is an alignment issue, I'd love to know about it. With the bracket removed, the PCB and ports should line up properly along the edge of the expansion slot opening. One thing I didn't do is have dimples for the round dimple found on low profile brackets. If the dimples protrude enough, this could cause the bracket to sit cockeyed when tightened.

Actually, the bracket doesn't matter. If you look closely at the picture of the IO side you can see the DVI is even more tilted than the bracket. The metal shell contacts the opening, preventing the bracket from lining up straight. You really have to push the DVI connector on hard to engage the screws.

Updawg has the same card in his L2 and it appears to line up correctly.
 
After transferring the guts of my L1 to my L2, I've been thinking of doing something very lightweight with the L1. So present build list;

RAM: G SKill SO-DIMM 2x4GB 1333
SSD: Samsung 128GB(actually swapped out from L2, package has a 256GB)
Wifi:Intel PCIE x1 slot card
PSU: Toshiba 30W 19V Brick + HD PLEX 150W(had it lying around way overkill)
OS: Linux Mint

Decided to go with Centrino card over mini pcie version as the card has antenna connectors built-in. May try out one of these for mini-pcie slot

Linux Mint, probably the easiest, fastest boot up of a new OS I think I ever had, found wifi and all hardware without any help, typing this in from the new build which runs very snappy on Linux. Heatsink and brick barely warm to the touch.

EDIT: At the wall power, idel 12.75W, running a DVD ~22W, so 30W adapter brick should be fine, brick draws 12W without being plugged into computer, just need to get one of these now for the mini-pcie slot

Got the MR15 adapter in 2x64GB, works great! Contrary to manufacturer you can boot from them though it's likely highly hardware/BIOS/driver etc dependent.

Edit: Installed Linux Mint on one of the MicroSDs but 23sec versus 14sec for SSD boot time.

Just built this rig yesterday, I have not built a computer since the E6600 was the force to be reckoned with. This new rig is whisper quiet and is quite fast. A modular power supply would have been nice, but given the cost I did not bother.

Few things I need to deal with...
Modular PSU that dosn't go full fan as soon as I fire up a game.
The Corsair H80i waterblock is too wide with the side barbs to fit oriented right side up due to the spacing of the RAM slots on the Asus z170i Pro Gaming, something to keep in mind. I may just do a custom loop, and work the GPU in as well.
 
Hopefully the TJ08-E is still considered SFF... this thing can swallow some heatsinks for sure :).

980 Ti Lightning and the NH-D15S if anyone was curious. I am probably going to take out the 6x2.5" hot swap bay as I don't care for the hard drive and 40mm fan noise front and center like that, but I should be able to make do internally with the drives I have.
