Just curious, have a pretty old SSD in an even older (10+ yr old laptop) and the SSD is prob 8+ years old. Its a 120gb when the best you could buy was a 240gb, :D

Ive noticed she's slowed down a bit....fumbles on playing video...and sometimes is laggy
Wanted to know if anyone knows the symptoms when they are going?

What are the basic stats that you see with a tool like Crystal Disk Info or the drive makers utility?

Having said that, when in doubt, replace it. Especially an older drive that size.

Especially with the price of drives now. You can get a 120 for not much more than the price of shipping. I’d just replace it.

More than likely it's windows bloatware causing your PC to slow down. Over time, when you install all these background apps (and real time virus / malware scanners) and they are vying for your hard drives attention. It will slow down. You should maybe run windows in safe mode or a linux boot usb stick and see if the hard drive speed is still a problem when plaving videos.
