from the reviews I've read, the heatsink for this Patriot card is very hard to remove.

I'm thinking:
  • a razor to "slice" off the heatsink from the thermal pad
  • or a heatgun to "soften" up the pad and then maybe a razor
suggestions/thoughts? thanks

PS: I want to use the nvme heatsinks that comes with my Gigabyte aorus extreme motherboard

can you install and use it as is to warm it up, like you do with a cpu?

Got any fishing line? Work a length of that between the heatsink and chips.

Any chance removing the stock heatsink screws with the warranty?

Which model are we talking about here?

If you don't have fishing line, dental floss works very well. And smells minty after you're done.
