Spybot disable windows defender

I use windows defender in win 10 and then i installed spybot seach and destroy.
Now it seems like spybot is taking over the updates in windows defender.
Everytime there is an update for windows defender then i see a red X on it and then i need to update it thru spybot among the other updates for that tool.
It is just annyoing to see these 2 programs work together. Cant i disable spybot for windows defender, so that windows defender can auto update it self ?

Any reason why you feel spybot seach and destroy is better than defender by chance?
i didnt even know they still existed...
When you installed spybot did you check options for what it can do?

uninstall spybot? i havent seen the need for it in years.

I like to clean my pc from stuff that spybot finds.

I just use the basic free spybot and it works fine together with defender on my system.

Didnt Spybot S&D fall from grace like forever ago because they were caught taking bribes in exchange for giving false negatives and positives? May be fuzzy abt details bc it's been well over a decade since I thought abt that program.
