RARE ENGINEERING SAMPLE Diamond Viper V770 32Mb AGP Video Card -

I remember buying one of those retail back in the day. It's actually loaded up in one of my retro rigs now. I have a v550 too somewhere. Good cards.

I bought almost exclusively (price permitting) Diamond hardware back in the day.

Viper V330, Viper V550, Viper V770. Then they got bought out by S3.

I got a Riva TNT2 somewhere in my box-o-junk. Not an ES tho. If I remember correctly I think I paid something like $50 ($49.99) for it retail. Saved it because me thinks it's the only AGP vid card I have left.

Diamond made some high quality cards in their day, have a couple of old Diamond S3 PCI cards from the mid 90s that still work perfect sitting here.

I got one of those Viper II cards, it was terrible lol.

I don't know if this is accurate, but as far as video cards are concerned, I rate Diamond card's 2D quality above everything except Canopus and Matrox. This was back when 2D analog made a big difference. I f*king hate fuzzy text on the CRT's back then.
