Price Check: NIB Intel Pentium 4, 2.4ghz, PGA-478, SL6s9

Thats one of the faster 400FSB Pentium 4s. New in box may make it even more desirable to the right person on ebay. Used bare ones in the sold section on ebay are selling around $20-$25. New in original box with a new OEM cooler and P4 sticker, wouldn't be surprised if you could get $50+. In the retro community P4s are gaining acceptance as very fast foundations for a Windows 98 machine. As I recall and could be wrong after all these years certain old Dells like the Dimension B110 max out at this CPU as faster versions don't have BIOS support. I wouldn't throw it away that's for sure.:)

Edit: I have sold a few P4 Windows 98 systems on Craigslist using that same CPU for surprisingly good money!

If you've held onto it this long, might as well wait another couple decades. Anything NIB will be worth more once you're talking true antique status.
Alas, the box is pretty faded. The value to that audience is lost.

Making me miss my 8086K I had shrinkwrapped and sealed (won in a contest).
