This is truly weird.

I just discovered that I can't highlight or add comments into this user manual, because the PDF is password protected.:banghead: I've always done that with my other ASUS motherboard manuals with no problems. Has anyone run into this problem with other manuals? Does anyone know the password? A google search didn't have any good results.

I never had need to edit or highlight a Mobo manual but you can always just print out the page(s) or full manual then make the changes with a pen or highlight as needed.

What, exactly, do you highlight in a MoBo User manual?

Well, I gave up on paper years ago, becuase e-storage is so much faster and doesn't take up space in a file drawer. :) Highlighting? This -> https://www.amazon.com/Sharpie-2500...-products&sprefix=highlighter,aps,220&sr=1-14 only with the e-version in Acrobat.

Here you go, I dumped and re-saved it for you without encryption:

No real need to crack a password, since PDF security has always been an illusion enforced by Adobe's legal team. Useless for protecting data, it's main purpose is document authentication.
Thanks. I got a PM the other day that said I should do a search on cracking PDF security. And what do you know!, I was able to unlock the manual using this website. Easy peasy. https://smallpdf.com/unlock-pdf
