gonna double post this here and in the mobile section as I'm not sure which place would be better. searched and there is no mention of this anywhere here...

 
I really wanted to choose this guy for my next laptop, but I just couldn't pull the trigger. For my use, a laptop needs to be more portable.

Really there's nothing that can beat 16 threads in that form factor. I can see it being great for someone video editing on the go.

They carry them at local microcenters, but I have not seen any on display.
 
Well, i7 7700hq with 1060 6gb is $999, this is $1500. Granted it has free sync and a few other cool things but not $500 worth (imo). It'd make sense if you had highly threaded workloads but as a gaming laptop, not so much.
