m.2 SSD enclosure

I have the ********** dual protocol enclosure listed here:

It's OK but does disconnect from time to time. I've unchecked allow the computer to turn off this device to save power for all my USB controllers.

I've just ordered one of these:

Anyone have any experience with either of them or other recomendations? Having just copied over the data from an m.2 SATA drive in Sabrent enclosure to my upgraded internal Samsung 980 it's going to be hard to go back to mechanical external storage for offline storage. I still don't know about long reliability of SSD vs HD.

I've been using this one since 2019. Works fine but have only used it to backup/clone drives in failing machines. So it's probably been used 2-3 hours during that time.

I used one of these to clone a boot drive PCIE 3.0 NVME to a PCIE-4.0 NVME, flawlessly and as fast as USB would allow. Since then I transferred another 100+GB to it as an OS backup, but I don't keep it connected all the time.
Gets hot as hell though.

My new enclosure arrived. The SSD fits between the fan heatsink and the PCB which uses springs to keep the heatsink pressed onto the drive. Just deciding which of my spare drives to try it with, one is 2280 and the other 2240 with an adapter.
