I found some instructions for Mint 20 and they call for creating a folder called share in the home folder and doing all sorts of configs on it. This isn't what I want. I already have the folders and files I want to share and I prefer they not be in the home folder. I know I'm thinking Windows here, sorry. :(

I'd also like to add I already have file sharing working between Mint and FreeNAS and it's working exactly like I want it ti work.

1) Install samba if you haven't "sudo apt install samba"
2) Make user account a member of "sambashare" group (mine was by default)
3) Right click any folder in Nemo and click on "Sharing Options"
4) Toggle on "Share this folder"
5) Set any of the other options as needed
6) Access linux machine from windows machine by going to file manager and using address "//network-name-of-linux-box"
