Got an Asus motherboard with messed up pins, straightened most but I see one is broken

I need to know if this pin does anything of importance on this chip without risking my CPU on it

it is in position AY-18 based on my calculation.. might be I am wrong

it is marked VDDQ
in the intel 6th gen datasheet I dont see any info on the VDDQ pin AY18
the mother board has 2 slots of DDR4, i want to know if this is feeding one of the slots so I can use the other one

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/docs/processors/core/core-technical-resources.html

And finally, I have never dealt with broken CPU pins, any idea how much it would cost to repair it and what is the best way to find a repair service for this, I am in New york so local would be better...

I would say install a CPU and see what happens. VDDQ is for the IMC according to some brief Googling, and multiple pins are used for that power rail, so missing one pin may not be a big deal as long as you don't crank up the RAM speed.

The only way to fix the socket would be to replace it, which is no easy task. ~1150 pins in a tiny BGA pin pitch requires some finicky placement to get right. You can buy loose LGA1151 sockets: https://www.ebay.com/itm/153415147638 But getting someone else to remove and replace the socket is going to cost several times what the board is worth.

If you can order the socket and have it in hand, and are also in NY, you might try Rossmann Repair Group. They primarily do Macbook repair and data recovery, but they sometimes do odd projects like this if you don't have any unrealistic expectations. Don't expect a quick turnaround time or a warranty on the work since it is an oddball project.

You have a lot of pins that look like the tips are bent still. Missing one VDDQ pin won't harm the CPU. You really need to be careful of VCC pins shorting, that will blow stuff up in a hurry.

I do lots of pin repair and haven't blown a CPU up in years so I'm not blowing smoke here.
