I'm working on my sister-in-law's Lenovo B575, and it's not going as I hoped. So, if anyone can impart their wisdom on me...

The laptop doesn't charge, but is otherwise 100% functional. Boots fine, runs on battery no problem, battery life seems good. Just no charge. The DC port for this laptop is cheap and easy to replace, so we picked up a new one and I dropped it in there tonight, but that didn't solve my problem.

I tried with two different known working AC adapters. So we can rule those out. I'm assuming that if it were a problem with the battery, the laptop would still detect a power source and/or work fine off just the AC adapter with the battery removed. Neither are the case. No battery means no power, and I get no sort of indication that the power is plugged in, charging or otherwise.

I see nothing on the motherboard that stands out as abnormal. No scorch marks or anything to indicate a component has gone bad. Is there anything else I should be looking for?
