Latest Fx Android Beta Hiding Soft Buttons

The latest Firefox Beta for Android seems to be hiding the soft buttons (back, home, etc) as well as the notification bar when browsing [H]. I hadn't noticed this on an earlier version, but I thought maybe xenforo got updated and that (anti-)feature was added, and perhaps it was just coincidental?

Anyway, it's really messing with my browsing efficiency on the forum, so I'll be looking for a solution on my own. But in the mean time, any help is appreciated.

We updated the forum software (xenforo) last Dec 3, 2021.

It's definitely started more recently than that, and I see it is indeed happening on other sites, so almost definitely a Fx anti-feature. I've sent firefoxbeta a mean tweet for now, don't really feel like filing a bug at midnight.

It might be Firefox Beta new feature/bug or your phone settings only?

I tried installing FF Beta on my Android and I can't replicate your issue.

I haven't installed any phone updates recently, so it'd have to be a stealth update if it was. I haven't seen this in other apps yet either, so I'm thinking it needs to be enabled in the app in any case.

This is on a OnePlus N200 5G, Android 11 build 11.0.1.8.DE18CB

To chime in, I recently started seeing this in Android Chrome. 97.0.4692.98 as well. Pixel 3a.

It's not doing it for me anymore. Super weird. Going to have to just watch carefully to see what triggers it, I guess.
