Johnnyguru.com its a sad day

Seasonic is still 5 years ahead of most of the other power supply manufacturers. Only problem is there are some (avg) seasonic power supplies now, something that wasn't true 5 years ago.

Regarding seasonic, as of recently, even their Core series (their low-end, gold certified) still using japanese caps on their primary and secondary. They just needed to relax the fan curve and maybe can incorporate larger fan in their compact units (something like Fractal Ion+ can squeeze 140mm fan in their 150mmx150mm psu).

I think you got it reversed:
>>> Their old platform (X & G series) got outdated pre-skylake release while their competitors (Superflower, CWT, High Power, FSP) released new platforms.
>>> Then they introduced their new platform a bit late to encounter the other platforms, yet they jump ahead in the performance curve even though still using non-digital platform
>>> Now they got a bit behind in releasing PSU complied to atx 3.0 & pcie 5.0 while their major competitors already released some.
