In your opinion does ultra old hardware have a use?

A few years back I swapped an old Asus notebook for a 12yr-old (now 15yr-old) Shuttle XPC cube when I needed a core for a custom arcade cabinet I wanted to build. Raspberry Pie 3 seemed inadequate, and Pi4's were harder to find than unicorns at the time. I doubled its RAM to 8GB, found a Retro FE-based front end, and fit arcade controls, AimTrak light guns, and other bits and cooling to complete my custom build. I eventually upgraded the 710 GT with a 1050ti using a PCI-E graphics riser ribbon and GPU stand. It handles classic 8-bit and early 2000's emulations with ease while doubling as a HTPC.

Considering most of my current gaming computer is 10+ years old, yes!
