How do you make your mouse cursor not to change to a different shape across application?

so my screen is 43", I need a big cursor. So I have been using a giant orange cursor, otherwise it's hard to find your cursor. But on some application, such as Excel, when I move the cursor across, Excel changes my giant cursor to a white cross, and now that belongs hard to find. Is there a way to stop all these applications s/w to change my giant orange cursor to their tiny cursor
