I have the following setup:
Newcastle 3500+
6800GT AGP
Gigabyte K8NS Ultra 939 motherboard

and some other random parts in there.

Anyways, I'm going to be picking up an Opteron 170 this week, I thought i'd look up the temperature situation I have in there. (Never bothered before). Here's a screenshot of Speedfan:

I'm having a hard time identifying which temperature is which.....
I have a Lian-Li PC65B case:

There are fans all over the place.
I'm using this Zalman CNPS7000B-cu heatsink:

And I'm pretty sure I applied the Arctic silver just the right amount. Not the first, second, or 10th computer i built now.....

I'm wondering wtf is @ 59 degrees??? Is that the core diode reading? What is "remote". Which of those temperatures is my case temp, cpu temp? The only ones i can sort of tell are the hard drive temperatures.

Please enlighten me. Any help appreciated.

I know it's not the video card temp, cuz that's at:

on my rig the temp 1 is the cpu temp.
temp 2 is the mobo temp
temp 3 is nothing,27c
i also have a second temp 1 which looks like the nf4 chipset temp at around 38-40c
my board is an asus a8n-e
see if this helps.i run motherboard monitor and i can compare the temps and see if they match up.you may want to run mbm and see if it works on your board.
