So are you planning on actually providing the first shred of unbiased evidence to support your claims? Or are you just going to keep posting links to nonsense websites and throwing out one line insults that you aren't even using correctly?

:ROFLMAO:

I would love (pun intended) for someone to point out a single downside to legalizing prostitution. You are never going to stop it from happening so you might as well provide a safe and legal option.

As pretty well evidenced from the last few responses, I doubt you are going to get anything of actual merit out of them.

While I have my beliefs, I refuse to allow them when it comes to politics. I don't see a downside. If anyone of legal age is allowed to partake, I can only see the "need" of trafficking people to fall dramatically.
I do think that legalizing it without setting up regulations in regards to health would be a bad thing. Could the industry self regulate like the porn industry? Possibly. Accountability would need to exist then, and I would imagine that would take quite some time for brothels to establish. There would probably be a lot of independent actors at the beginning which would make that difficult.
We've already seen at least one big crisis that ensues when people go around having lots of unprotected sex.

The fact that this story has stayed on the first page of the forums for a week really says a lot about you all.

I love it.

I don't have Stig's rather extreme reaction to religion, but I definitely agree with him on one thing: It's all bullshit. I went to church as a kid. I've read the bible (King James version, if you want to know), most of my family are heavily Christian. I, thankfully, was allowed to explore my own beliefs and figure out what I did or did not believe in. I find religion to be utter bullshit. If people find happiness in it and if believing in some magic space man makes their lives better, so be it. Life sucks and for some people religion helps make it better. There are serious problems with subjecting young children to it, however. When it comes to children, yes, they are being brainwashed. In fact, churches use many of the same tactics as a cult would. And you are going to say something along the lines of you're helping them, you want to teach them about God, and whatever else. There is a perfectly apt reply for that: The path to hell is paved with good intentions.
So by acknowledging the existence of a hell, you in turn acknowledge the existence of a God!?!
In seriousness, I was raised Catholic, but have "strayed" from organized religion. I have spent time exploring other religions, but in the end I think they all get some things right and other things wrong. At their core, I feel like each of the different religions have a good message, to try to teach their followers to strive to live to a higher standard when it comes to treatment of others, as well as oneself. The problem is the people. Religion is just another variant of our current hot-button "SJW"; a good message that was twisted and used by some as a tool to justify hatred and actions against others. I disagree that subjecting children to religion is bad, i just think that you need to expose them to more than just one, and actually discuss the differences and what messages they can take away from them.
