I backed up all the music on a external hard drive before doing a complete format and re-install on a guys laptop. He has one folder that has a bunch of sub-folders of music with about 30gb's worth in it. I got it to copy just fine to the external drive but now when I try to copy it back to his hard drive in the laptop after the new operating install I am running into a problem. I highlight the folder on the external HD and choose copy to folder and choose where I want it on his laptop hard drive and it shows like it copied but it only shows like it took just a few seconds. Nothing actually copied though. Both drives are NTFS and he had administrator privileges. Any ideas on what's causing this? I can copy one sub-folder at a time just fine but not all of them.
