Do you think we'll get thunderbolt in next gen microsoft?

No microsoft device has thunderbolt, but the new Intel cpus and usb4 have it integrated.

I really want to go to the single device world with surface book but I need thunderbolt for my profession :(

Do you think we'll get it next round? Have Microsoft's security concerns been addressed?
 
It is anyone's guess. I know a lot of people complain about it and MS knows it.
They are slow to implement new features so there is that.

If future Surface devices support USB 4, you'll get Thunderbolt as a matter of course. It's built into the spec.
