I was luke warm searching for a 1060...this popped up. I may want to check it out.

......

Went and checked it out today...ended up buying it.

Cooler master N200 case
Asus B550 mATX wifi board
Ryzen 3600x with stock cooler
4x8gb 2600 mhz ram
1tb gen 3 nvme
Gtx 1060 6gb

$500

Was really only after the 1060, so not sure what to do with the rest. Play musical components I guess.

More deals there since you don't have to sign up for anything.

Was finally able to find an awesome deal. Fb marketplace though. 5x16TB seagate exos for $800. Warranty until 6/2026 for all. I should be able to sell my old storage for a big chunk of that too.

Full out steal at $160/ea. Awesome deal! How many poh did they have?

Me looks at my large pile of dead drives that are mostly Seagate...
Depends on what models are in that pile. Their consumer drives went through a bad decade or two--and the Exos line isn't those as it's on par with the very best from HGST and WD.

Scored a pretty nice find this morning for $300

Verified working, and actual specs :
  • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk
  • Ryzen 5800X
  • 2x 32GB GSkill DDR4-3600
  • ASUS GT730 4x HDMI
  • WD 2TB HDD
  • Montech X3 Mesh
  • Thermaltake SMART 700W
  • DeepCool HSF

Nice find. Craigslist around here is a joke most of the time for PCs and parts. Microcenter locally and you would think that would help but nope— people still asking for all the money on old gear or even more than retail on newer stuff.

Usually don't bother browsing CL here in DFW (usually just tons of "gaming PCs" that are weaker than my Haswell/860M laptop)
Happened to be checking for a power supply (was coming up dry in [H] FS/FT), and stumbled across that ad.

Not complaining, and I'll certainly take it, but why couldn't I have scored the winning $1.9B Powerball ticket instead? :p

The only place I consistently ever found deals was in the Chicago metro CL--that place was a gold mine!
