Just finished up a Ryzen 7 5800X, 6800XT LC build in a older Corsair Carbide Series Air 540
New silver metallic paint, new case floor to handle 240mm rad for 6800XT. Wanted to get rid of the 5.25 bay slots which really dated the case, a more modern look with the 7" TFT LCD Display mounted in the front pannel. Going to setup AID64 dash on the 7" touchscreen

I have that case in the closet. You have more info on the monitor setup?

I'm really liking that display too and it's making me regret tossing the last case I had with 5.25 bays.

I here you, there are a lot of older towers that would be cool to use in a build if you can come up with a way to eliminate the 5.25 bays.

I use them with icydock bays for storage servers all the time.

I had one of those cases for years. It's still one of the easiest cases to work in that there has ever been. I kinda got sick of the plastic popping and creaking (and one of my USB ports stopped working), but I'd welcome a newer model in a second. Give me a steel 540 and I'd be happy as hell.

Very pleased with the overall look. The silver metallic flake and satin black looks very clea!

Turning lemons in to lemonade.
When I did the dremel work on the front panel I got careless with the dremel which is a deadly weapon to a plastic case panel😳
I didn’t take a pic of the wound but here is the fix
Motherboard has a USB3.2 C header and so I added a front panel
Connector.

Nice work. I really like the display. It is a great fit for that front panel.

Love your mod! I still have that case in black sitting in a box and I can’t bring myself to sell it.
