Cannot change wallpaper

Recently my brother managed to get some virus / spyware *cough*pr0n*cough* and I've been unable to change his wallpaper from the default color. When I try to change it through any method, the change just won't take.

I've since removed all the viruses / spyware, but I think there's still some obscure registry entry I've missed.

Any ideas?

Try using Hijack This. Once you get the logfile from Hijack This, copy and paste the log onto this site: www.hijackthis.de

The site should tell you if there's any bad registry entries.

Navigate to the following key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop

In the right-hand pane, delete "NoChangingWallPaper"
