Can the USB ports on a Be Quiet Silent Base 802 be upgraded to 10 or 20 Gbps?

The front of the case features two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (5 Gbps) and one USB type-C gen 2 port (10 Gbps).

Should it be possible and practical to replace the 5 Gbps ports with 10 or 20 Gbps ports, and maybe the type-C port to 20 Gbps?

Yes you should be able to swap out the ports & cables for the newer versions without too much trouble, depending on how they are attached to the case.....

On some cases, the headers are hot-glued on, and others have screw-mounted headers..... obviously the screwed on ones would be easier, but even the hot-glued ones will (usually) come apart by using a small, fine-tipped soldering iron or heat gun with a very narrow nozzle to direct the heat to only the exact spots that are needed...

Of course none of this will matter unless your motherboard has the corresponding connectors that support/provide the higher throughput speeds :D

I emailed Be Silent about it, and they responded that the USB 3 Type-A ports on the 802's chassis, and the cables from them, will already support 10Gbps. If that's true (I won't be confident of that claim until I've tested it), that's great and saves some work and expense. The only thing needed, then, is an extension header-to-male-USB-Type-A cable - because my mobo's header is for USB 5Gbps, but I have plenty of spare USB 10Gbps ports at the back of my mobo. And the Silent Base 802 conveniently has a cutout for a cable to be routed to the rear USB ports.

Be Quiet said these are the Type A ports on their 802 case - I hope the header cable is also suited for 10Gbps:

I've found some header-to-male-USB-Type-A cables for sale, but they appear to be only USB 3.0 / 5Gbps.

I haven't yet come across one that's 10Gbps, but maybe I can get one custom made.
