Can I split a coax digital audio cable (RCA) from 1 source to 2 amps?

Trying to simplify my connections - does anyone know if I can use a high quality RCA Y cable to split my PC coax digital audio to go to my headphone amp and my speaker amp at the same time? Seems like it should work - it does with optical, but not sure if there will be some electrical voodoo to mess me up...

The Y cable would probably work in most cases. Otherwise you could get an active repeater/splitter, such as this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C1LNKGK You feed it input, optical or coax, and it will give you one of each (and you can use both at the same time). Kind of funny that the active adapter and the Y cable are almost the same price.
