Supposedly it has an impressive VRM for its size. From a feature list standpoint perspective though I am not too sure how it differentiates itself from their other ITX offerings.

I would have rather used that extra board room for another M.2 slot, an extra PCIEx16 slot, or even some way to add more ram slots would be impressive. My interests are likely too niche though to be fair.

The Mini-DTX form factor allow Asus to support TWO M.2 drives via this SO-DIMM interface.
  • SO-DIMM.2: Bundled expansion card with heatsink allows two M.2 drives to be connected via an SO-DIMM interface and helps control SSD thermals for maximum performance

Their other ITX boards already have 2 m.2 slots without having to be added on via a daughter board (preventing CPU cooler clearance issues) Its still a neat board, I just wish it did more.

They've tried putting the audio on there before, though for small AMD boards, 2 M.2 slots is still impressive.

I do agree, though, it does seem like they didn't do all that much with the extra space. No Nbase-T, no TB3. At least they didn't waste space one two side-by-side HDMI ports (or any video outputs, for that matter). I feel there isn't really a perfect X570 mITX/mDTX board this gen, I do hope for better in the future.
